Hi there! My name is Caton Townley and I run Tails from the Woods.

I’ve always had animals and pets since I was a child, I grew up with a lovely Cat named McCavity and have owned rats as well as goldfish - quite the variety!

Soon after finishing university, I started caring for/boarding a friend’s English springer spaniel on a regular basis as he was the loveliest dog; I soon realised that looking after a dog is so rewarding in both licks and love. In November 2020, my mum rescued a jack Russell terrier called Pumpkin (pictured) and it was love at first sight! over the course of the various lockdowns from 2020-2021, I helped care for Pumpkin and walk her on a regular basis. I soon applied for a dog walking job with an agency and worked with them for 2.5 years. I had a wonderful time walking all the different breeds and sizes of dogs; from German shepherds to miniature toy poodles or daschunds!

After years for working for others, I’ve made the leap on faith to work on my own and broaden my scope of work - I want to meet more dogs in more areas and help owners with their fur babies (as I call them).

I’m fully DBS checked and licensed for dog walking, dog sitting, pet minding, cat sitting, pet transportation and pet training.
